Biography
Born and raised in Miami, Florida I spent many enjoyable weekends at art festivals. I knew then that I loved art and would some day create paintings. Drawn to the beauty of watercolor, once retired from my career as a Human Resources Administrator in 2003, I began my journey to becoming an artist. Mostly self taught in the beginning, I eventually began taking art classes and discovered that I had a real talent for detailed painting. Once I moved to Melbourne FL, I took classes from a local wild life painter and fell in love with painting wildlife and tropical flowers. Most of my paintings are inspired by my photographs as I visit many of the local wild life sanctuaries and gardens for inspiration. I am not sure what excites me more, capturing a bird in flight with my camera or painting that image in Watercolor. Exploring other subject matter in my paintings has been a recent challenge, but it is the local wildlife and tropical flowers that inspire me the most.

February 2011: I entered two paintings in the Strawbridge Art League's annual show Mini Vision and was awarded the Brevard Watercolor Society's Award. BWS contributes to the monetary award and selects the artist that they wish to honor with this wonderful award.
